THE NAMES OF THE GLACIERS is a sculptural expansion of the artist’s poem (Helljar or Moraine) which appears on the penultimate page of the book. The preceding pages contain 197 unique orca calls from the Northern and Southern Resident populations, recorded on hydrophones between 1978 - 1983 and originally published with additional data collected by Dr. John K. B. Ford (citation below, PDF).
